Casa Vega, an iconic restaurant recognized as an American Classic by the James Beard Foundation, provided a meaningful opportunity to design the finish details for the newly built Ray Vega patio.
From the outset, the intention was to create a sense of old-world charm expressed in a fresh and considered way. This was achieved through the use of reclaimed materials and handmade tiles, bringing depth, texture, and a sense of grounding to the space. A palette of emerald greens and warm honey tones was selected to introduce a feeling of renewal, while being applied in a traditionally inspired Spanish manner.
Custom gas lanterns with hand-forged iron grates were designed to bring the space to life, creating an inviting and subtly magical atmosphere. The result is an environment that encourages guests to settle in, feel at ease, and linger.
